When Will Dish Fix the New Alaska/Hawaii HD Packages

Behold, software version L622 showed up yesterday and all my 129 afflictions are healed! The red x at 129 has magically turned green and my 722 stops searching for the unattainable 129 conus channels every time I turn it on in the morning. The 129 conus channels still show up in the guide (red for nats and "available" for premiums), but apparently the receiver now doesn't care that it can't really find them.

That's great news!

Life is good. Do you have the multi-sport package? If you do there are a lot of HD RSNs in the 400 and 5400 range that you can watch on occasion. When the MLB games run long you can tune them in. I'll usually go to 5409 and then channel up to see if anything is playing.

Now if Dish will stop blocking all of the other HD channels that we could get.

I'm not a big sports person, so have not checked the 400/5400 range yet. I do like all the HD movie channels. Was also glad to discover the SPEED channel in HD on on the 110. Not sure how I missed that announcement.

How is your signal on the CONUS transponders when it rains. Mine drops down and the signal may become useless, but most of the time it's fine.

I don't know yet. Have not had a big rain, just drizzle, since getting it hooked up. I'll go thru the transponders tonight and see what they are. It's cloudy and looks like we will get some rain tonight.

My readings from 15-32 range from 28-39. If yours don't go up when the sky clears you might want to try and tweak it.

Didn't get a chance to tweak it this week, and now that it is raining, I've lost the "extras". Spot beams still working good though.

Part of living in Alaska. Even though I occasionally have issues when it rains, I still think it's worth it.

Kinda weird, when I set up my new 119/129 dish with my 622 a month or so ago, I got a green box under 129 (in system info) I know some of you were fighting with the red X. Tonight I was checking things out, and behold, now I have the red X! I did some checking and all my 129 HD channels still seem to work but it's weird. I seem to have gone backwards with the 622. I have the L622 software.

Some days I have a red X and some days it is green. Have not figured out the pattern yet.

Dish vs Uverse

Final goal to have 6 TVs. What to do?
