Dish fixed the HD HGTV feed for Alaska, this was a duplicate of the Food network.
Is Hawaii fixed?
Yup, not sure when they fixed it, but I noticed it this weekend.

So now we're just missing HDNET Movies and Universal?
Since those are plat channels, I wonder if they are gone until they maybe re-emerge as part of some kind of HI/AK platinum pak in the future. Too bad - I miss both of them, especially HDNMV.
As for fixes, the conus 129 channels still show up in the guide for Hawaii, but about a week ago, my 722 stopped looking for them every time I turned it on. Locking out the "available" yet un-attainable 129 conus premium channels keeps them from messing up searches and dish pass.
Do you have this problem? Every day when I turn my 622 on for the first time, it gets stuck on the acquiring satellite signal message. When I go through the menu, 6-1-1, it is on sat 129. I need to change the sat to 110 or 119, then cancel out to the acquiring satellite signal message. Only then will it go through it's complete process. If I don't do it first thing in the morning before I leave for work, the receiver will not record anything that day until I do what I said above. Any thoughts? I have a dish 500h for 110/119 and a separate dish for 129.
DJ Maui-
Do you know many people who upgraded to the HD GOld package? Meaning they have a dish pointed at 129. Here on Oahu, it doesn't seem like many people know about it and retailers don't seem to be installing dishes at that location. Most people have DTV anyway. Makes me sick
is it possible with a HI Classic Silver 200 with Hawaii HD package (two dishes looking at 110 and 119, one slightly larger than the other), to move one of the dishes toward the 129 direction to see if a check switch will find any of the 129 HD programs?
Update on my one dish install:
I called Microcom to make sure everything was on schedule. Surprise, they don't have the new dish on island so I am rescheduled for June 19th.

The Microcom installed has been at my home on the Big Island for the past few hours. He installed a new Dish aimed at 129 (I already have two other dishes pointed at 110 and 119). While he was able to get a signal on 129. The new HD channels don't show up on the Channel Guide. After talking with the Dish tech people, they indicate that they are unable to add the Hawaii Gold package to my account. They are going to deal with it on Monday and see if they can determine the problem.
Anybody from the Islands have any idea what I can do to receive the 30 HD channels on 129?
Dennis
I just spoke with a Dish rep. He insists that the correct HD package to receive the 129 programming has been added to my account. He believes that the installer did not point the new 129 dish correctly. The installer says the 129 dish was installed properly. The rep is sending another installer to my home on Monday.
Also, I don't have a red X under 129 on the check switch. It is a regular blue/black one. The installer indicated that this configuration was the case with the other 129 dishes he has installed. However, in those instances the new 129 HD channels showed up in the guide.
I can't get 5546. I think my dish is not fine.
Thanks for your help.
I was not able to lock on to any of the 129 signals, including 16. I ran the check switch test with no success. When I do the check switch test in the "satellite" column it reads 110 (green OK), 119 (green OK), "Conn" (blue/black X). The installer referred to the Conn notation as an "error message" and indicated that it was present in his other two 129 installs. He said that the error message notwithstanding, the 129 HD channels came up.
The Dish rep indicated that the cost of my HD package was $10/month as opposed to the $9.99 cost of the previous limited Hawaii/Alaska HD package. This price indicated to him that I was authorized to have access to the new Hawaii Gold HD package.
Thanks for your help.
