i am on the east coast of the u.s. i want to pick up a sat that is covering asia. is it possible to do that. can i get chinasat6b 115.5e jcsat3a 128 e. or apstar6 134e. my wife is from the philippines and i would like to get some local tv for her. thanks

I believe you would have to point the dish at the ground to be pointed at those satellites.

What specific channels are you looking for, maybe they are also on a satellite that you can point at from this side of the world.

Galaxy 19 @ 97°W has a bunch of international stuff, but I think only radio from the Philippines.

Depending on where you are (what's your zipcode?) you might be able to get from as far East as 10W to 148W on the West end of the arc. Nothing "E" is really practical from the continental US.

I'm near San Jose, CA and Agila 2 is 10° BELOW the horizon. I would be lucky to get something 10° above the horizon without some extreme meausres.
