Yes, it is. For so long, ring-tones have been these crazy elctro-pop sounds. Nothing wrong with just a phone ringing!

Main reason I switched to a custom ring tone was I was tired of always thinking my phone was going off when in a crowd. To many people use those as their ring tones around here.

The same problem I was having. Picking a less common ring tone has made my life a little easier.

Exactly...I think its funny when all the people in our office seem to have that default ATT ring tone. They all look at their phone when it is someone elses. I downloaded the ring tone and sometimes play it on my phone to play with them. Kinda funny.

I have the same problem and that is another reason I choose a custom one. I also need it to be loud enough that it would wake me up at night and most on the phone will just not do that.

Since my ringtone is the beginning of a song, many times when I hear that song my first reaction is to answer my phone.

I hate when people leave their phone ringers on at work. I don't see why they can't go and just leave it on vibrate and put it on their desks. If you're at your desk, you'll hear it make the noise. I remember at one of my old jobs this dingbat would often be away from her desk but she'd leave her phone there stupidly and then it would ring this awful country music song. And of course I had to listen to it for nearly 30 seconds and it got annoying to the point where I almost threw it down to hall to her and yell, "Hey! Incoming call!"
