Ok just replaced my 301 with a 211 (Thanks dishstore) I am running it through a Vizio 720P LCD.

Ok in the main room I am running a Sumsung 1080P 56 inch DLP. The HD has always looked good with the dish being set at 1080I. SD now that has always been a wash.

When setting up the 211 I put it on 720P to match the TV and SD seems to look better then 1080I, (I know this is native for the TV)

Now when I change the 622 to 720P I can't tell if it looks better for SD or not, and HD I don't know.

So what do you guys use. I am starting to think 720P is beter then 1080I. I know that really there are more lines per second then 1080I and maybe because it is not as stretched.

Any input? Or is the 211 just that much better then the 622 for PQ

As your Vizio isn't really 720 lines (probably 768), you need to try both ways.

What we think shouldn't substantially impact what you perceive.

Well you guys probably have been doing HD more then I have so yoru opnions help. I had my brother look between 720 and 1080i and he can't really tell the difference. I think speed looks better in 720P then 1080I though. (It would look even better in HD)

I've been doing the same thing. My TV is a 1080i 42", and switch back and forth, both SD and HD, I honestly don't see much difference coming in through HDMI.

I ended up just setting it at 1080i, and leaving it.

I cant bget hd locals because of a tree.... another sattelite launch?
