What would happen if DISH drops Viacom?

You seem to be convinced that Suddenlink customers don't represent a cross-section of pay TV customers. I don't think that's a reasonable position.
Remember we're considering how badly Suddenlink was hurt amongst Suddenlink customers. The impact on Viacom might not have been all that considerable but that seems likely to change as more providers stand up for their customers (something DIRECTV only seems to do with certain RSNs).

Yep, did too many things on my own without asking for help in my 20's. That and tearing my knee up in high school and college basketball hasn't helped this 46yr old body. Paying for it now, but with age comes knowledge. Think things through and just take a little longer to do things.
Ive calmed down now, I spend most of my time doing estimates, delivering materials, and Trying to expand my Dish system.

Regrettably, knowledge and desire/willingness to make allowances come some distance apart.
Need to fix the amount I posted in this thread about how much I save over Direct TV a big part being the DISH business plan favoring those who really need or want to spend less so have less equipment or not the latest equipment. I had posted I save over $120 a year, it's more than that, around $150+ a year with similar equipment and package.
Yes, but... it's more than that. They also charge an additional fee for the first receiver and each one thereafter, another fee for me and many others tacked on for RSN's, and their packages are generally a little higher.
Ready..... They would be charging me over $31.50 in fees on the equivalent of two VIP Receivers ($25 more if one receiver) including the RSN fee. What do I pay with DISH? $7 DVR fee for one DVR receiver and nothing else, $17 for two. For two receivers that is $170 savings a year just on fees. Tack on a little more savings for the package being a little lower.
This is why the posts railing on DISH for their fees need to be put into context.
