I didn't watch it when it was first aired back in the 1890's on the telegraph.There are (5) people in our house. The majority of them have no idea what "dukes of hazzard" are and certainly didn't care that it was dropped !

Most Americans don't want to admit they watched it when it was out and in syndication. Those who are willing to admit, don't feel too good about it.
Sorry, I watched Dukes of Hazzard when I was younger and am not one bit ashamed to admit it. I don't know anyone who watched it that's ashamed either....

I deal with customers every day.
We do tons of advertising for dish, directv, comcast, time warner, cox and charter.
My phone system lights up like a Christmas tree every time one of the carriers we represent drops a channel.
All day long I have to weed through the disgruntled customers just to get to the customers trying to setup new service.
The people on this forum think different than the average customer I take a call for and sell service to.
Yea but you need to understand that suddenlink is a blip on radar when compared to all other providers.
You see no real backlash because they don't have very many customers like comcast, directv or Dish.
It is still proportional Claude. Viacom is a "low rider".
Haha ! I don't watch it today .... because it's "corny". I could almost say the same thing about the original Star Wars (but I won't !!). I have gotten our 6-year old daughter to watch it because it has a "princess" (Princess Leia) but parts of it just had me shaking my head - I'm a big SW fan too.
Nope. I just didn't watch it. It didn't appeal to me. In fact, I thought it kinda sucked. I doubt very much if it drew a huge audience from NYC, or any of the larger cities, in general.

first off. Laughed to hard at both comments. Secondly, my girlfriend has discovered I am a Star Wars nerd recently, and so she went out and bought materiel to make me a head rag for when I ride my Harley out of Star Wars print. It's the little things...

I saw it in the theater, when it was first released. It really was a whole new type of space adventure film. (FWIW, it's not science fiction.) I've heard stories that Lucas wanted to originally remake Flash Gordon, but couldn't get the rights. That first SW had a lot of the same elements.

That reminded me, I did watch the movie that was done a few years ago. Jessica Simpson did a fine portrayal
of Daisy, IMO.
