What we hate about sports

Yes sir! Unless it a a broadcaster or broadacast team that I completely trust (and there ain't many) I do the same. Nothing like watching an easy-going baseball game and listening to the music that fits my mood of the day to wind it down. PRICELESS!

Vin Scully and Ernie Harwell come to mind :)

HD, no offense, but whatever happened to the Gund Arena? You love to call the Cavs' arena "The Q," but I don't know what Quicken Loans?

Gordon Gund was the owner of the Cavs when they built the new Basketball Arena in Cleveland and he owned the naming rights. That was until he sold the team to Daniel Gilbert. Gilbert owns Quicken Loans Mortgage Company. Thus the new name: Quicken Loans Arena or "The Q" for short.

I think 144 games for MLB would be more than reasonable. Eliminate Interleague play. There is no reason why we need to see a Pirates-Mariners series (as an example) in the middle of the pennant races. There is also no reason why we need to be playing baseball into November.

I dislike expansion in sports. Too little talent to go around.

If it wasn't for expansion, the Cavaliers would never have existed.

If not for expansion, you still would not have a football team.

No offense, but both of these are bad examples.

When the Cavs were born in 1970, the NBA was more than ready for expansion, as there was more than enough talent to go around.

As far as the Browns go, do I really have to defend Cleveland getting an expansion team??!! They NEVER should have lost their original team to begin with.

I call that justice!

I agree. Playing baseball in the winter is ridiculous.

I hate overpriced cry babies that some of these players become.

1. Playoff Ticket prices during the playoffs...Then they wonder why some games are not a sell out

2. "Players having to feed there family" Enough said

3. NFL Exibition games

4. NHL Playoff games starting at 10:30 eastern time (Wings playing in the west)

5. The NFL Pro Bowl...Why bother and no it will not help at ALL to have it between the superbowl week

- I hate the 162 game MLB season and wish it was 148 games and the season would start in May and end by mid October INCLUDING the World Series.
We all know we'll never see any revenue reduction ideas like this happen, but if we did, I would be all for bringing back the old-time single admission doubleheaders. You could still have 162 game seasons, but played in a few less days than it is now....

I was about to post something to this effect, but never got around to it.
I agree, go back to one price double headers, that will shorten the schedule at least a few days.
Also make it so when they get into the playoffs, they are able to move the series up a few days to get it started instead of waiting 4-5 extra days, because it may have gone the full amount of games.

I know this may be difficult for travel and hotel arrangement, but I think it could be done.

Thank you.

Horrible examples by Sabres.
