Hello all...

Are there any more ku-band sats with local channels..can be from anywhere.
Something like fox/sitcoms/shows.. not news... like whats on galaxy 18.

Currently have:
(123w) Galaxy 18: This good.
(83w) AMC 9: For the two RTN's! I just had to get those back.
(97w) Galaxy 19: This has 200 foreign channels which all el suko. lol
other than that I can aim this to something else.. but to what?

And the bio and hostory channel and pbs.. I don't watch. and don't have HD.

Looks like 123 and 83 are the only ones worth looking at so far.
Isss there anything else? Using primestar dishes: ku lnb...

Thanks for any info.. :)

I am currently on 123, but started on 129. This has White Springs TV, which has a bunch of cool old movies & cartoons. The second dish I put up will be parked on 129.

I'll second 129. Not exactly "local" but B-movies and old cartoons can be fun.

After that, considering what you have and what you have already dismissed as possibilities I'd suggest going for a feed bird...

74W
79W
91W

... Just a thought.

Satmex.. lyngsat not listing much there...then again their not exactly up to date.
White springs tv... might check that out... looks like thats it on that sat. lol..

Got to many trees for c-band where I'm at..
My dad use to have c-band when I was a kid, way back when alot of stuff was in the clear... I remember F4 24...the playboy channel.. L-O-L ! What sat was F4?
Anyway, I remember the motor arm always going out, or something was always tearing up on it.. worked on it a many of times...

Thanks for the info... :)

Well, that would be a disappointment.

The equipment seems much more reliable these days.
AND, I've learned enough studying the posts, to go after some of the top dishes 'n motors.
So, even though they may be 20+ years old, they were the Cadillac of their day, and still perform with extraordinary precision.
. . . and now, they are free for the taking! -

C-band list at: Global-CM
C-band list at our own: TheList

These were the good old days back in the 80's, using my Dad's 10 footer dish just to get the raunchy channels!!:):D

But sadly, I live in crappy HOA, which at least allow me to have 2 dishes Directv and 90 CM FTA motorized dish, but big no, no, on C-band dish no larger than 1M max, size.:(
