Well, as of today, there are still reports coming in and it certainly appears to be relevant. Something is rotten in "errr" the southeast.

lol. I am in the southeast but I don't smell anything. Probably because I am on 129 and not 61.5.

When I read that it was just one person with no one else complaining... it starts to carry more weight that it isn't an equipment problem when several users are having the same issue.

What does it mean if there is signal strength with "Name Not Acquired?

That means, DVR took the reading from adjusted transponder, usually from next (N+2) same polarity tpn.

Using specrum analyzer ( check my posts ) will give you real signal info - so, today you could safely exclude from attemtps to get signal/lock on non-transmitting tpns: 1,3,7,15 . They could change status next Monday or soon.

Last month Dish begin activating SB capability of E12 and marked tpns: 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 as SpotBeam type.

Other four tpns just plain dead and do not show any activity: 4,6,26,28 and not define in system tables (NIT).

IC, thanks for the info. Way above my head. Keep up the good work Smith, P.

As of 8PM Mar 8, transponders 1 and 3 took a dive to around 31/37, and 3 shows spotbeam and the correct sat. I have a 311 that claims 1 is a spotbeam as well, but still thinks it's the wrong sat (110).

Anyone get better than low 30's signal on 61.5

I lost two HD channels in Puerto Rico
