Our local ESPN affiliate today had a bit with the passing of Bill Walsh on which pro football coaches would you want to put on Mt. Rushmore if there was one for coaches? There were many interesting combos and I thought that it would be interesting to hear all of your thoughts.

Your task:
Provide your 4 coaches that you think deserve the right to be immortalized

My vote:

1) Paul Brown
2) Vince Lombardi
3) Bill Walsh
4) Chuck Noll

Jimbo

You would have liked one of the calls today as Wayne Fontes was nominated for having to deal with the Lions all those years.

Paul Brown, Joe Gibbs, Tom Landry (even though I hate the cowboys), Bill Walsh

I'll second this list.

i would substitute tom landry or don shula for paul brown!

Which one would you remove from Jimbo's list?
My list :
Lombardi, Walsh, Landry, Paul Brown and Chuck Noll

IF I have to remove one, honestly it would probably be Noll, but then after I thought about it, hell, why should Noll be eliminated, he won 4 SB's ...
This man never gets the credit he deserves.

I cannot remove Walsh as he changed the game, offensively with his West Coast Offense.

(Unfortunatly the Lions are to the east and run the Wet Toast offense)

I am removing Tom Landry, only because you guys don't want to expand the heads, after all this time I think it should be remodeled ....

"... Walsh credited Hall of Fame coach Sid Gillman with inventing the modern aerial attack - the timing routes, the pre-snap motion and especially the downfield passes.

What Walsh did was adjust Gillman's model to suit his personnel in Cincinnati. ..."
