Ugh no War Games. Good idea for a movie and was fun for its time but really dated now. It may be time for a remake but would the poor kid looking to have fun with some games actually be as sympathetic? Would the Feds be thought of as heavy handed? Same with the movie about the kid building a homemade nuclear bomb. That movie was fun also but now how many people would like to see the kid thrown in prison? New twists could be added but its a different world.
The first Bourne Identity brought back the actors for a new shot because before its release 9/11 happened. In short the CIA guy told Bourne the world had changed and they would like him to come back since assassins were more acceptable. They chose not to use it maybe because people werent so open to it after all.
Anyways that was just a quick post how changing times can alter the perception of a story and its characters.
Add to this list the third Terminator movie. Most of it was the usual chase movie but I like the female terminator (her name escapes me) and the dark ending to finish the series. The next movie about the war looks cool.
Ok, I stumbled upon My Cousin Vinny on TBS so, naturally, I just gotta watch it again. I watched this movie every day for two years straight while I was stationed overseas and didn't have cable/television.
