Well...... IF I were to get a motor, what motor would you recommend for a Primestar Dish - that is what motor can handle that size dish and the 2 3/8" mount? If I were to motorize my 80cm dish, did I see a survey from awhile back that showed that most prefer teh sc2100? Just thinking ahead :) Thanks! :)

Well, obviously I have not had my setup but a few days, but I would recommend the stab100. It is a very strong motor to handle the weight of a Primestar without any modification. Well, besides using some PVC pipe around the motor shaft to get the Primestar mount to fit right on. Very easy.

there's an extremely long thread here about connecting an SG2100 to a Primestar dish. I got mine from PSB, who gets my best recommendation.

Well with my Primestar 100cm round, I'm told the sg2100 won't hold up. And I would really prefer not to mess with the integrity of the dish by shedding weight on it, so when the time comes I think I'll have to go with the Stab HH120 and hope that does the trick.

Just make sure you get enough motor to handle that Pstar, because it's heavy.
