L.O. (Local oscillator) often called LNB Freq.

Should be set depending on what LNBF you have.....

10750 Standard (Linear ports of QPH-031)

9750-10600 Universal

5150 C-Band

11250 DBS (DirecTV /Dish)

yea, good luck if you only have an 11.250 LNB like I've got. Good thing I have a sweet Fortec on the way from Sadoun Satellite. Item # 9706400283 on Ebay.

Just a shameless plug for Sadoun and myself.

That is an interesting deal. I wonder when Sadoun finally started selling standard lnbs in his kits instead only the fskuv universal .4db ones. Anybody know how well the standard ones perform? Or are they too new to rate?

Well, I feel like an idiot for not seeing that in the review. : ) I have certainly been outta the loop on the new lnbs. I am still sticking stubbornly to my good ole C120 Primestar. I just like being different than having a FS 36 dish mounted to the motor because so many have that setup. I just wish I could find an 84E Primstar around here. They just didn't seem to use those in this region.

We have the STANDARD KUL1 LNBF as an option in the drop down menu. The reason we have the UNIVERSAL LNBF bundled in with the system is because the Fortec Star receivers are setup by default for UNIVERSAL lnbf. For the average user, it is easier for them to setup than having to change the LO Freq, etc.

For the skilled user, like most members of this forum, it make no difference.
