What Is It??

Really nothing to do with FTA - - - but here goes.

Went for a walk today with my dog and found this along the road. It has 8 small holes around the center of the shaft. Also has a hole in each end but you cannot see through it. Appears to me made of copper and for its size has a bit of weight to it.

I can make out a capital "R" and Made in USA; but I don't think it is a bullet.

What do you think it is???

I believe that is just what it is, a tip for a spot welding machine, I have seen some similiar to the one shown.

Some other companies were just starting to use them when I got out of that line of work. But the ones that we used were aluminum or an aluminum alloy. All the ones we had had to be crimped.
