What is "block viewing"?

i think with tivos they pretty much would know you dont have it on speed all night. They probably only monitor what you 'watch' thru the NP list. The nielsen boxes only monitor when you press a button saying you are watching (vs just leaving on all day at work) so im pretty sure they would have figured out tivo changes channels all day by itself .
