what dishes are being installed in metro NY?

I'm in NJ and had a recent installation of HD with 2 X 722's. The slip the installer gave me didn't say much and from what I can see outside, he installed one big dish next to my old dtv SD one which is only about half the size. It's pointer higher and more SW than my dtv dish. I'm not sure but he either left my old dtv dish or there's a second much smaller one next to it. I think it's my old one because the guy was a "minimalist" and did the least possible amount of work.

I'm not that impressed since I got snow fade yesterday and there wasn't much of a storm going - solid clouds though. Can someone tell me what this dish is that was installed? Is this the optimum setup for the area?

You have to give more info.

Describe spacing of "eyes" on the dish lnbs.

What markings are on the dish/lnbs.

WAG, you probably have a Dish 1000.4.

It's on top of my roof at the highest level, I'll take out binoculars later to see better. I thought maybe the size was a giveaway since it's the biggest D*network dish I've seen to date. Thanks for the info, will start looking up stuff on the "1000".
