Well... I mounted the E* to the P* - lol

Well - it may or may not work out (probably not!) but I was thinking that it'd be a whole lot nicer to mount / adjust to a motor if I could make the Dish500 mount work on the P*. I'd also pick up dish skew adjustment in the process. When I had the P* dish apart I noticed the dish part was actually pretty light so... I ghetto'd the two together. It isn't pretty - and would need re-enforcement to be done right. I did it because I really had no use for the Dish500 dish and I figured I couldn't hurt the P* dish :D .

Pretty much!

I figured it's worth a shot and the Dish500 is otherwise worthless to me (no LNBs).

damn I might do that with my DirecPC I got

I've got enough dish parts to make 5 dishes…so its worth a shot (and a weekend to kill)

Nice JOB! How may coats do you apply?

I had Dish 500 mount like the you have. I picked it off the road the the dish part was messed up. I ended up giving it away at a ham fest since I was not into this hobby as much as I am now. Wished I still had it.

I used the whole can of paint and it took 3-4 coats to get even color.

I noted the non-metallic part with my paint selection but some sites also reccomend a flat paint which makes sense looking at what comes on the dishes. I'm going to pick up another can to touch it up and then probable hit the reflector with a flat clear.
