Welcome New Members! (Please Say HI here!)

an oldie but a newbie too ?

it's been a few years since anything about me was " new " , but , here i am . i tripped on to this site from another link. i gotta say it sure looks neat . i am in Ontario [ Mississauga ] and will be moving north soon . i have always loved electronics , and on those long , cold winter nights [ Timmins ] , i can't think of anything [ other than the wife ] better than some Yukon Jack , and searching the skies for satellites etc. due to obstruction , i never could get g10r , but am looking forward to the forums to help me find it . however , from what i have read so far , it looks like it has been replaced , by another bird. this sure looks like a nice site . thanks for the opportunity to look around , and thanks to the site builders.:music:

Hello everyone! I'm new and happy to be here. Years ago I installed DTV and was also a customer. I've been researching sat-tv again recently after discovering a primestar dish on this farm-house I rent up in northern california. I'm hoping to learn how to move/replace the lnb in hopes of checking out FTV. This forum seems to be the main place which pops up when I google_search so I figured it's best to join.

nocall99 the newb.

:)

I am looking at purchasing equipment for FTA reception and was hoping to find someone experienced in this area to assist me in selecting the right equipment. At this time I am looking at the Sonicview 360 Premier PVR with the Dish 500 Plus LNB.

I am retired from the IT field. I started with punched paper tape and "donut" memory.

Looking forward to learning more about FTA.

Hi I'm new to posting messages, although I have been registered for over a year. I'm from downunder (no not Australia, further down New Zealand). I am a satellite enthusiast. Soon I hope to find answers to some queries I have.

Just joined the site, and am awaiting my motorized package (m-2 with 90cm dish upgrade) from Sadoun to be delivered tomorrow. This site seems to have the best info and really friendly atmosphere. Hoping FTA will be an easy transition since I already enjoy shortwave listening now and all the interesting channels and shows on the radio wave. Concerned with the installation part, but I'm sure with all the info here, I'll get through it. :up
