Some weird things are going on: First of all whenever I disconnect the sat feed, even just for a couple of seconds (I was checking the connectors for damage or moisture on the grounding block) the receiver seems to loose connection alltogether, means after you reconnect it, there's no signal, the check switch doesn't find anything until you reboot and run check switch again. It acts like there's nothing connected with running like 0-38 of 38 on both tuners on check switch. Another thing is whenever I'm in the point dish screen and change to the 129 readings, AND I was on an HD channel, and then exit the screen, the receiver acts like there's no cables connected again. If I do the same thing being on a channel that is NOT on 129, it'll exit without a glitch. SAME thing if I am checking SS on any TP on 129 AND change sat inputs, same story. Every time I have to reboot and run check switch again to regain satellite picture, if I just let it sit there on the acquiring satellite siganl screen it'll keep rebooting until I redo check switch manually, and everything works fine again. No signal losses or lost locks or picture glitches, all LNB's check out as GOOD and no LNB drift either. Like I said, all works splendid, unless I try to play around in the point dish screen, as I have done countless times with my previous receivers, and never had a problem. Not sure if it is related to L4xx software, as I haven't played with it that much, until yesterday, when I put up the new 1000.2, with new cables and stuff, and I used that screen to point my dish. Can anybody duplicate this, or does this sound to scary to do? Or what do you guys think about this in general?

You should unplug all receivers before disconnecting any cables. If you do that, you shouldn't have any problems.

No, same is when I unplug to clear the matrix. Have done this with old receiver, has never been a proble.. The problems I encounter now, started before I unplugged stuff. That's why I was checking on that in the first place.

Could somebody with a 1000.2 please try this and go to the point dish screen, when on a HD channel, that comes off 129. Look at the signal, and then change satellite inputs from 1 to 2 and back. Then exit the point dish screen, and tell me what happens. Mine looses connection completely, as if I pulled the plugs. No signal, no picture, no check switch screen working. It only comes back to normal, IF I reboot, AND it is NOT ona HD channel. In order to get it back via reboot, I have to go to a NON HD channel first, and then reboot.

Ralfy,

I'm having the same problem with the 622 and a 1000.2 dish. But it only happens if I disconnect the satellite feeds. The receiver acts like 129 is not there and after running check switch it comes back. It doesn't affect 119 or 110. I had to relocate the switches and the dish and that's when I noticed. The other receivers are just fine so I don't think it's the dish or the switch. Probably another bug with the L4xx software.

A few weeks ago I moved my DP34 and before doing it I unplugged 510,211 and 622 made move and plugged all 3 in. Checked 510 first and it was fine then the 211 in basement and it was good on all 3 sats. Turned on 622 and please wait stayed on for about 20 seconds then the pic was fine. Went to point dish and all three sats showed up as good reception. My 622 is a E, L405RBDD-N, Bootstrap 1711RBDD.
