Coverage Maps from ABC will be added as they become available, along with channel designations for ESPN GamePlan on DirecTV and Dish Network, BTN channel designations and PPV channel information for Big 12 and SEC PPVs.

If someone wants to create this as a sticky thread like Mike's MLB schedules or keep it inside the 2008 College Football thread, I'll leave that up to the mods.

That's great that ESPN is showing a doubleheader on Labor Day. I could be mistaken, but I don't recall them doing that before.

I posted your schedule over at the backhaul forum for all of us that look for the games on satellite. I linked your website and the info you provide/update along with the basketball schedules. Your schedule rocks!

Thanks Matt! You have a great site. I've had it bookmarked for a few years now. I use it to plan my TV viewing for college football and basketball.

Very nice list. Thanks for putting the time into this.

They'll probably show USC here in SoCal on ABC, so hopefully I can catch Michigan on ESPN2HD.

DirecTV Installer coming between 8-12 Saturday...he better get everything installed by 12:30 for my Michigan game or I'll be very upset.

Though...Uverse is still hooked up and I can use that if all else fails.

Question: why is USC-UVa listed on Gameplan? With only 2 games on ABC and ESPN2 carrying the "outer market" game, would this game be a de facto national broadcast? Won't everyone get it on either ABC or ESPN2?

First Saturday this week....It will be offical once the game day crew arrives! Any idea what campus they are going to be at??

It was down for a couple hours for some unknown reason, but it is back up.

As for Gameday, it will not be at a campus for week one, but at the Georgia Dome, site of the Alabama-Clemson game.

Big Sky TV Moves to Free Service
Jon Kasper - Big Sky Conference
8/26/2008

OGDEN, Utah (Aug. 26, 2008) The Big Sky Conference and Broadcast International announced on Tuesday that Big Sky TV will move to a free service for the 2008-2009 athletic season.
Big Sky TV, the league’s video streaming web site, enters its third year of operation in 2008-09, and will feature football, men and women’s basketball and volleyball matches held in Big Sky Conference venues. All told, more than 400 events will be available.
All fans will need to do in 2008-09 is log-on to http://www.bigskytv.org and register with a username and password. All live events will be free. Viewers will need to purchase events if they chose to watch them on-demand.
“The Big Sky Conference is thrilled to offer all of these events free this year,’’ said Big Sky Conference Commissioner Doug Fullerton. “In our first two years as a pay service, fans from all 50 states and several foreign countries logged on to watch events. By moving to a free service, we will expand our viewership, and create more excitement and interest in our Conference.
“I congratulate Broadcast International and our nine Big Sky Conference institutions for making this happen for our fans, parents and alumni.’’
The first free event of the 2008-09 season in Thursday, Aug. 28 when Weber State plays host to UM-Western in football. Three more football games will be available on Saturday, Aug, 30, and a total of 10 volleyball matches can be viewed Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The move to a free platform is certainly the biggest and best news coming out of Big Sky TV, but it isn’t the only good news. Broadcast International has switched the viewer to a flash-based format, resulting in a much more user-friendly experience.
Big Sky Conference schools are required to provide Broadcast International with two-camera broadcasts. Games must include at least one high court or field shot and one alternate shot.
“Throughout the first two years we’ve learned a lot about video streaming, and all of the problems that can arise,’’ Fullerton said. “Our schools are dedicated to giving the fans a great viewing experience, and Broadcast International is dedicated to delivering the final product to the viewer. We are confident the upcoming year of Big Sky TV will be far and away the best yet.’’

Televising the games that matter most to Arizona sports fans is the mission of FSN Arizona. To meet this goal yet again, the network is proud to announce it will now telecast two local games that were previously not scheduled to be on television next Saturday, Aug. 30.

FSN Arizona is set to showcase an unmatched sports tripleheader that evening and the coverage kicks off from Chase Field with a key game in the race for the National League West title when the Arizona Diamondbacks host the Los Angeles Dodgers at 5 p.m. The telecast will be presented in High Definition.

Immediately at the conclusion of the baseball game, FSN Arizona takes its audience across town to Tempe for the Northern Arizona University at No. 15 Arizona State University football game, which is the 2008 season opener for both programs. Should the D-backs & Dodgers game run long, FSN Arizona will air the NAU/ASU football game in its entirety and would start the broadcast from kickoff on a tape delay basis if needed. The ASU/NAU game will not kickoff later than 7:22 p.m. regardless of how long the Diamondback contest is.

Finally that night, FSN Arizona will air a tape delay telecast of the Washington at Oregon college football game at 11:30 p.m. This game is FSN's national telecast on Aug. 30 and is being played at the same time as the NAU/ASU football game. Earlier in the day, FSN Arizona will also televise Oklahoma State at Washington State football game live at 12:30 p.m.

"We are thrilled to be able to televise these games for the D-backs, ASU and NAU and ensure that our viewers are provided the opportunity to watch them if they can't be there in person," said Mike Connelly, FSN Arizona Senior Vice President/General Manager. "If you are a D-backs, Sun Devils or Lumberjacks fan, FSN Arizona will be the network to watch next Saturday night."

FSN Arizona televises the most regional sports action in the state and is the exclusive cable television home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Northern Arizona University, Arizona Rattlers and Phoenix Mercury. FSN Arizona is currently seen in 2.8 million households in Arizona & New Mexico and can also be seen across the country via home satellite services.

EASTON, Pa. - The Lafayette Sports Network, a national leader in Division I Football Championship Subdivision television coverage, will televise all 11 regular-season Lafayette football games live for the sixth straight year on RCN-4 and WBPH-60 in eastern Pennsylvania and western New Jersey. Now in its 12th year of existence, LSN has become a staple for Leopard fans in the Lehigh Valley and across the country.

Nationally, Lafayette Sports Network telecasts will be picked up for the ninth straight year by DIRECTV and DISH Network outlets, available to more than 60 million viewers. Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh (DIRECTV Channel 628, DISH Network Channel 428) will carry all of the Leopards' broadcasts during the month of September. Lafayette opens the season on Sept. 6 at Marist and plays Georgetown and Penn in the opening month. The games will air at noon on the Monday following the game on the regional sports network which reaches 2.3 million cable and satellite homes in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and Maryland.

"We're always looking for the best regional college football product for our viewers," said Jim Huber, Director of Programming at FSN Pittsburgh. "This year, we're excited to maintain our long-standing relationship with the Lafayette Leopards as they journey towards the Patriot League championship."

The remaining eight games in October and November will be carried by the Mid Atlantic Sports Network (MASN). MASN will broadcast the Liberty game live on Oct. 18. MASN's second live broadcast will be the 144th meeting of college football's most-played rivalry when Lafayette and Lehigh square off at Fisher Stadium. The Leopards are looking to make it five straight over the Mountain Hawks and will kick off at 1 p.m. The other six games will be shown on the Tuesday following each game at 8 a.m.

MASN is available regionally and nationally on DIRECTV channel 626 and DISH Network channel 432. The network is the official television home of the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals and Baltimore Ravens and reaches nearly 6 million homes in a seven-state region, from Harrisburg, Pa. to Charlotte, N.C.

"Lafayette is a great institution with a strong football program and a ton of tradition," said MASN spokesman, Todd Webster. "MASN is excited to carry so many Leopards' games and we are looking forward to the 144th meeting of Lafayette and historic rival Lehigh, live, on Nov. 22."

Gary Laubach will handle all of the Leopards' play-by-play duties for the 12th straight season. John Leone has provided color analysis for all but the first year on the air. In his eighth year as a member of the announcing crew is Dan Mowdy, who is fresh off a gymnastics public address announcing stint at the Beijing Olympics. He will report from the Fisher Stadium sidelines. Mowdy will also be joined by RCN's Scott Barr for select telecasts.

Laubach will sit down with head coach Frank Tavani, as well as select student-athletes to discuss the Lafayette football program.
