We need a manual section

I go to a Bulletin Board for another hobby of mine, that has a section for manuals that have been scanned and converted to pdf files. It's really handy when you have an older piece of equipment and can't find the manual anywhere. Right now I'd really like to find a manual or assembly instructions for my dish. Also if you're not sure what it is you have, you can look at the manual and see if that's it.

Maybe we could have a section for manuals here?

We have thought about that before and decided against it since the manuals are copyrighted.

I guess the owner of the other site must have called each company and got blanket permission to use their manuals.

How about a section where people say what manuals they have and are willing to make copies or look up stuff for other users?
