"We are working on it" ?

What is the this full screen message that says

We are working on it
Do not call

I have ran across this once and had no clue and no others I had contact with had ever heard about it, so I left and a week later it was still there when I returned to do the pole mount. During this week the customer had no local channels. Upon finishing the pole mount the message had disappeared and all was as it should of been.

I have heard of others seeing this message and one particular customer has had repeated TCs because of it. Seems nobody knows what it is when I ask around and I am curious. What is it and how to fix it?

Strange - I saw this message on my local channels (St. Louis) a couple of weeks ago. It stuck around for about an hour and then was gone. I guess they really were working on it!

It was on the Knoxville TN HD locals for a while today. I just figured they were messing with 61.5

I've seen that quite a bit on locals after they drop due to weather...somehow doing a check switch clears the message though...

It was just coincidence; you can't eliminate the slate screen by check switch !

All of my locals still have this slate (since last night)

I just called and the person on the other end confirmed that they had been off since 8 am Yesterday.

I guess they could be upgrading the equipment or something else locally to start getting ready for the digital switch. I'm not sure.

How about this.... On the 722(L614) - TV1 would tune to channel 003-00 but TV2 had the "we are working on it" slate for channel 003-00. All other receivers were fine...

Cleveland SD locals were like this a few days ago for about an hour.

It was just coincidence; you can't eliminate the slate screen by check switch !

Then it's quite a coincidence, as it seems to happen quite often. It reads a message about local channels only on locals, sometimes it also drops a few random TP's as well. Usually after a power outage or a weather outage. Check switch solves everything.

Or the recently discovered slate screen message of "Bogus" that an installer found and provided a camera phone pic of.
