I currently have a dish pointing to AMC4 KU. I would like to pickup a few more channels. I don't know is I can add more LNBs to my current dish ( need to call Sadoun). I have been looking at the Toroidal 90, starting with a couple of LNBs then adding more later.

How difficult is installation and is there something better?

Thanks

Toroidals are great in that they allow you to hit all of the satellites in a 40 degree arc at one time, but installation can be tedious. However, if you are comfortable with aiming a dish, and have experience, they shouldn't be too much trouble.

Very true :D

it really depends on what satellites you want and how much skew is needed. I lucked out and used IA6 as my center one (which is also my TS). When I originally set it up, I had AMC1 as my center one and that worked pretty good. The skew on the dish sucks as there is just numbers (90, 100, 110, etc) and not notches so it’s a guestimate. Also, there is no elevation scale (its one big screw) so a angle finder is HIGHLY suggested to get to.

One drawback is the 2 degree spacing….although if you get creative you can do it.

It's a very difficult installation for most people - although it gets easier over time - and in most instances, yes you will trying to tweak it.
