Best Buy sells Western Digital MyBook external HDD's that work perfectly and meet the powered spec required by Dish. In reality, just about any external USB HDD up to 2 TB will work

I haven't seen any My Books smaller than 3TB at Best Buy lately. The 2TB models are getting harder and harder to find.

I am using a 750gb hard drive that I removed from an old desktop PC and it works fine in an enclosure.
