Dish does not have 5 of the cahnnels.
Ok, well, maybe I'm wrong...but I was under the impression that Dish had 15 VOOM Channels and dropped 10 of them a few months ago.
Go back and start with Post #1 in this thread and you will see the progress over a 24 hour period where Dish dropped 10 and then dropped the other 5.
Keep reading...But still, the larger question is did the contract (or whatever arrangement existed) with VOOM expire, Did Echostar escape it via some clause, or did they simply reallocate the bandwidth (and if so is it only a temporary thing)?
They are both in court as mentioned, the bandwidth has been reallocated, and Voom will probably not be back. It's not definite but I wouldn't look for them anytime soon if the unlikely were to somehow occur.
20% ? OkDish has 205 ownership Cablevison (which carries all 15 channels) has 80%.
I thought Voom was 21 channels of which Dish only carried 15.Dish has 205 ownership Cablevison (which carries all 15 channels) has 80%.
That's yet another point of contention, which may or may not be directly tied to Section 10 of the Spend Requirement (Affiliation Agreeement). In a nutshell, E* says VOOM didn't meet the spend requirement of 100 million per year, while V* claims the spend requirement is a reduced percentage of 100 million (15 channels vice 21) as described in the Affiliation Agreement; E* says VOOM is 15-channels, VOOM says it was 21-channels, but that both partied agreed to reduce that number to 15.I thought Voom was 21 channels of which Dish only carried 15.
