Basically they removed one of the most unique VOOM channels that was showing the greatest movies from arround the world in HD (some of them not available in HD anywhere else) and replaced it with just another Hollywood channel, that is currently showing a Ben Stiller movie in what looks to me as an upconverted SD. Thanks VOOM!
FilmFest is still on the same channel it has been on (9480). There was a brief period this morning where it got flip-flopped with what WAS World Cinema (and is now Voom HD Movies), but they fixed the flip-flop. Voom HD Movies is on 9475 (old World Cinema channel#), even though the guide still indicates WORLD, rather than Voom HD Movies.Uh oh... does all this shifting of channel numbers also automatically change any potential DVR schedules? I think I have 2 or 3 movies set to record in the next week. I better go check em out.
Never liked to read a movie.....whatever happened to DUBBING??????

I have to agree. I somehow feel disconnected from the movie when I'm forced to focus on the bottom of the screen, like I'm missing out on the "action." You know?
OK, now I'm totally confused.
Right now (6PM MST), 9475 still says WORLD and 9480 still says FILMF.
Both channels programming match what it says on the EPG.
9480 has a documentary on, and appears to have mostly documentaries over the next couple days. Which would lead me to believe it's FilmFest, but I haven't seen a logo yet.
9475 has an Indian movie on, but it's in English. The schedule shows a slightly greater variety of films than usual, and it's more mainstream. Which would lead me to believe it's the new movie channel.
BUT...9475 just showed a FilmFest logo in the corner.
So...the confusion is understandable.
