I am in need of some advice live in Canada I have a social securiy number a valid US address and pay for all my services. What I want to no is I am in the process of getting a VOIP line with a US phone number I want to hook this up to my recivers so I can order pay per view will they be able to tell that I live in Canada? also do I have to hook up to all my recivers in order to watch or will one be fine and be able to watch on any of them

if you already have DirecTV services you can order PPV from the website; is that an issue too?

PPV via the web site is really the way to go - the last time I ordered PPV (which admittedly was a while ago) all of your receivers get authorized for the content if you order on the web, vs. if you order via a receiver with a phone line only that receiver gets authorized for it.

In any case using a VOIP line to order PPV is going to probably not work anyway - modems don't typically work over them.
