vip722k recording while watching different channel questions

Here is my dilema: I want to watch a channel on tv1. I want to record another program on a different channel at the same time; my wife is watching another program on another channel on tv2.

When I tune to the channel I want to watch on tv1, it wants to stop the recording and switch to live tv....Isn't this possible??? Thanks in advance

The 722K has 2 sat tuners. If you added the OTA module then you added 2 OTA tuners.

If you are recording something on TV1 from the sat and the wife is watching something else on TV2 the only option you have then is OTA. Both sat tuners are tied up
