vip622 and Dark Screen help L366

Have a new 622 and about every 3rd or 4th SAT channel is dark with only the guide banner at the top appearing. The software version is 366. This is my second 622 I've gotten as the first had the same exact problem and I had it switched out.

I have a Terk wrap around antenna installed as well with the standard dish1000 E set up. I've tried new lnb's, a new coax, bi-passing the antenna and terk diplexer, you name it and I've changed it. I got "E" to send me a hit the other day and everything started coming in perfect....but 2 days later same old shirt.

I've read here that E may have a problem with this after you scan in HD locals...Is this the key issue with this problem or am I missing something here?

Have you tried to do a check switch with the sat cables unplugged to clear the matrix? Then you plug them back in and re run the check switch . Then once the guide is downloaded , you need to a power cord reboot . This usually fixes any problems unless you have a sat dish installation problem.

If I'm on the right track...

The symptom you are describing is out of date software.

Goto point dish, menu 6-1-1, LOCK on the 119, turn TV2 off, then turn TV1 off. It should force a download within 20 minutes.
