Please could someone assist me, I have a VIP612DVR that I have been testing. I work with Yachts and on a stabilized antenna there is only room for one dual output lnb looking at one sat. I have two stabilized antenna's and am pointing one at 61.5 and the other at 110. So far I have been able to see both 61.5 and 110 which in the Ft Lauderdale area gives me my locals and the HD output of 61.5... My issue is I have not been able to combine the signals so that I can see both sats at the same time. I just brought a dp21 to see if I can join the signals but I am not sure if this is going to work as the lnb's are I think legacy... I am thinking that maybe I need to get two dish pro digital LNBF with dual F-connector outputs... Please could someone let me know if that is correct? and how I should wire them...:)

The VIP612 is a dual-tuner receiver. From what I've seen with my 625 and 722, these receivers are never going to be happy with only one tuner connected.

If you have two legacy duals, the cheapest solution would be to buy or scrounge two SW21 legacy switches. The two outputs from the two switches would go to the two tuners on the VIP612. The two inputs on each SW21 would go to separate LNBs. After a check-switch, your VIP612 should be able to select either satellite using either tuner.

I surely do not know if only those two orbital locations are adequate.

I have two sw21's that I tried however I am not sure if they like my lnb's one of my lnb's is a dish pro that the installer put on the house and the other is a standard two f-con output that can be used for either directv or dish (i think that makes it a legacy?) I have all my experience wth Directv setups and greatly apprecate this help

actually I think tried that setup with two Dual output non dish pro lnbs with the two sw21 after running a check switch only one sat was seen if I swaped the inputs to the sw21 switches the other sat was seen?

Are you sure you cabled them up correctly? If you did, then garys is right; some hardware is bad because that should have worked. One output of from each dual goes to a single SW21. You don't cable both outputs into the same SW21 or you would get the result you reported. ;) Also, the receiver stores the switch matrix, so if you change your LNB/switches around, you must run the check-switch function again.
