VIP612 resets on locals

and only on locals.

1. been through 3 boxes
2. changed hdmi to tv and coax cable in attic
3. tried power strip, apc battery back up, straight to receptacle and now Belkin Home Office 375VA UPS - 375VA 200W - 15.
4. changed coupling in attic.
5. technichians checked dish, lnb, wiring, box..., to no avail
6. have a 612 and 722 in other rooms, not 1 single reset on them since intall over a year ago.

i know i've seen these problems all over the place, but never see where there is a fix?

Is it one particular local or does tuning to any local reset the receiver?

ViP 722 should fix it.

No sir, it may be any of the locals. Odd thing, you can warch them three weeks without a peep, then one day it may do it two or three times in one day.

Currently I am testing the below scenario.
1. switched from HDMI to Componet.
2. moved box fron 1' from TV to 4'
3. TV (a Sony KDL-40S4100)plugged into one outlet, Box plugged into outlet on seperate breakers
4. neither are on battery backup or surge protecter

time will tell...
