Vip612 Recording on own and "No info available" on channel guide

I have the latest software L642 so shouldn't be a prob there. This just started on Saturday. It just randomly starts recording on a channel and will record for like 5 hours. Then when you change the channel and tell it to stop recording, it will start recording some other random channel/show.

Also, I'm getting a ton of "no info available" on the channels on channel guide. If it's 1:30, for example, on the guide it says "no info available" for shows that would start around 2:30 forward.

Did a soft reset, but that didn't help anything.

Never had this issue before. Any thoughts?

Ok, more seriously, do two things. First unplug the receiver wait about a minute or so, and plug it back in. After it resets, see if all your guide is there. If not do a check swtich. Does it show you are receiving all the satellites you are supposed to be?
Also, check your timers to see if any were entered incorrectly, or are there that should not be.

If your automatic update is set before 4AM, change to 4AM or later. Also make sure the receiver is getting enough air around it.

As Tampa8 mentioned the first thing I would do is check the schedule (timers) It sounds like it has some set quite possibly a neighbor could be setting them.If there are no listed timers and it still records on its own and the resets have no effect then it may be time to contact a dirt member about a replacement.
