I have a Dell computer 2.4 Quad Core 4 gigs of memory and im looking to connect from the Duo Vip 222K reciever hooked up to our tv , to my computer too.
So using a Tuner Card is that possible and which type would be ok to get?

Just hate to get the wrong one and have to send it back. I dont care to record or anything i just want to watch some tv on my computer.

Thank you!

For SD almost any TV tuner card that has an NTSC tuner will work to view/record the SD output from the 222k. For HD you would need something like the Hauppauge 1212 to view/record the component output from the 222k receiver.

with the tv 2 r/f out put and windows media center yes , recording and replaying to the pc is also possible but burning to disc is no longer supported, the file type is now encrypted

would this work?

You can hook that to your Dish receiver and get SD.

If you want HD, you'll need a card with component inputs.
