I've had the VIP211 in operation now for about three weeks. It's hooked to a Samsung LN-A550. I also have a Motorola DSR-922 C-band receiver attached to the TV, and a OTA antenna.
This morning when I turned on the VIP211 and used my Samsung remote to switch to HDMI side, there wasn't any sound. I turned on the DSR-922 to the Denver stations, and had audio (sound) from the TV. I used the TV remote to get OTA stations. Had audio from the TV. But, when I went back to Dish Network (HDMI), still no sound from the TV. Knowing the problem wasn't with the TV, it had to be with the VIP211. Shut off everything for a few minutes, and when I turned everything back on, I had sound from the D/N 211 receiver.
Later this afternoon the wife called me to report there wasn't any sound on any D/N channels. I just unplugged the VIP211 for a minute or two, and when I turned the receiver back on, I had sound again. Has there been a problem with audio with the 211, or would any one know the solution?
