Out here somewhere
A long time ago I had seen people speak of their VIP units giving them warnings of shutdown for inactivity but have not seen anything
recently. I just bought a 722K a couple months ago to replace my dead 622. Every once in a while it pops up with a warning that it is
going to shut down because of inactivity. However there is activity as I am watching TV and have been for quite awhile (the same channel). Is there a way of fixing this situation? I looked through the menu options but nothing stood out that would seem to help.
Thanks, Gerry

ps: what happened to the technical questions sub forum here under dish?

Menu- 8 -4. That will take you to where you want to be to change your timeout timer.
The tech forum was merged to make things easier.

Inactivity means you have not touched the remote to view something or change channel over a period of time. Standard viewing would constitute inactivity.

"standard viewing would constitute inactivity" that's a good one! Especially after falling asleep in easy chair :). 8-4 = update menu - now who would have figured that this is where you
change the setting. Really I would have thought maybe preferences or something along that line... Go figure!
