vip 211k OVERHEAT?

Have there been any problems with VIP 211Ks getting hot or overheated specificly near or right over the blue light on the front? this reciever is used in an RV. The dish antenna is a carryout auto dish. After the reciever has been on for 2 to 3 hours it seems to reset to a black screen and after plulling the plug for 10 sec it tries to reaquire the sat. it then starts to display a solid purple screen and flashes different solid colors from time top time mixed with multicolored strips. If it is the reciever overheating who or where can I take it to get checked out?

I would have to second that question about a ViP211k overheating,where do you find on the menu what the temp is running on your receiver(this would also go for ViP722k)?

Being used in a RV probably means in a tight confined space, so overheating is a strong possibility.

all rec's can overheat. if it quits working, call dish. simple soulition.

Temperatures should be displayed in Menu/ Diagnostics/Counters.
