once you connect that gaming bridge to the hopper, your whole system will be internet connected including the joeys.

I believe the primary purpose of the Hopper Internet Connector is for situations when you can't directly connect ethernet to the hopper, but you do have coax in another room that is near your internet connection where everything can be hardwired.

It sounds like Dish would prefer to have a hardwired connection versus going wireless. Wireless seems like a last resort, but it will work.
