USB SATA RAID Enclosure as 622-7222 External Drive

Has anyone tried connecting a USB 2.0 SATA RAID External Enclosure (i.e. 2 or more SATA drives stripped together in a RAID configuration) as a 1-6TB External Drive for the VIP 622- VIP722?

Does it work?

Is there good reason why it should not work?

I am not sure if the DVR can recognize a 6TB hard drive? But no matter what, I wouldn't use a 6TB drive. If something goes corrupt, you lose everything. Also, it will take forever to format 6TB.

Nobody test the size, but 2 TB is OK; corruption ? Use RAID-5. Format will not take too long.

Tested recently for other customer - RAID-0 2x1 TB Hitachi. A device is on sale at Fry's (someone posted a link last days).
