Lots of uplink activity.. mainly suffling of channels and TP's that are allready on the same bird... Will report in full detail later this afternoon

Be reorganizing channels, you can then free up transponders. When you have a free transponder you can change the modulation method (say from QPSK to 8PSK)...

So then you could pop some HD channels on the free transponder with 8PSK encoding.

Perhaps they may also be moving channels around to eliminate interference issues with specific transponders ...

They moved Atlanta HD Locals from 129 TP10 to 129 TP16 so I will be interested to see if it gives me any better signal strength.

Houston is still split over three satellites; major at 119 / minor at 129/148 satellites- ( note same channels mirrored on both 129 and 148), what is up ? Are they going to do a one dish solution on the dish 500 or not? I know not everyone in Houston has a dish 1000 so they are not in compliance with the one dish solution are they? Wouldn't they have to change out everyone of their subscribers in Houston to a dish 1000 to still be in compliance with the Fcc ruling?Isn't the deadline coming up on 6/01/06?

As long as all the locals are receivable with one antenna, whether or not any customers have said antenna yet, they are in compliance.

Kansas City locals are still on 119 tp1. I believe they are still going to move to 110, aren't they?

I am not sure where Houston will end up, but I am willing to wager it will be on 119 or 110. I doubt it will stay at 129.

The Dish1000 is ONE dish, right? You could have it spread out between 110, 119, and 129 if they felt like it and still be legal after the deadline.
