No Sound on Some 4K Recording and Channels 104 and 106.

When you type in 104 or 106 you have sound and picture. When you scroll from 104 to 105 to 106 you have picture but no sound on 106. If you scroll up to 111 and then down to 106 you have both sound and picture. Then from 106 to 105 to 104, no sound but picture on 104. Scroll past 104 to 103 and then back to 104 and you have both sound and picture. If you lock out 103 and 105, then you can scroll from 104 to 106 or 106 to 104 and have picture and sound.

The 3D channel 103 keeps saying I do not have a 3D TV or a 3D DirecTV box which I have both. Takes 5 to 15 seconds to load the 4K channels and sometimes stays black. You have no function on the remote so you have to power down and then up to find where your at. I had 3 technicians here including a supervisor and he called some higher ups. They said it is a software problem. From what I read, this C61K has been nothing but a problem. Does anybody have any info on this? And, when there might be an update to the software problem?

I don't have 4k or 3d so I can't be much help. Have you tried a different HDMI input on the television?

Goes from the dtv box to a Yamaha RXV679 4k pass through and then to a Samsung UN55JS9000 TV.

Directv all ready tried that.Did not make any difference.

Yes sir and these Blue Rigger cables carry both the picture and sound for I have a samsung 4k player ubd-k8500.

No I have not.Some reports I read say they are slower.I really do not know how it works.Directv says its a software problem.Can you tell me what software you are running for the genie and client.On the genie I am running oxcb6 date 3-7 and the client ox8b6 date 8-8-16.You can find this by pushing menu>settings and help>info and test>lower right corner server system info or client system info and push the select on the remote.Do you have any problems with the 61k?

I have 1481 for software on the TV.Do you have a one connect box on your js8500 and if so which hdmi port do you use.I use the ARC (audio return channel) no. 4.I feed everything into the yamaha and use it as the switching device with one hdmi cable going to arc no.4 on the one connect box.I think the only difference between a js8500 and a js9000 is I can stream.Do you have an AV box?We have the same software for the dtv boxes so if yours so should mine.

I use HDMI 1 for the C61.. and yes I have a OCB... Only difference between the JS9000 and the JS8500 is I have a OCB mini box.. you have the larger one.. Otherwise it is the same exact TV I do not have a AV box... I would do some tinkering with the C61 directly connected to the OCB and bypass the AV..

I bypassed the a/v box and went into hdmi 1 on the OCB.Same problem as before with sound.It did switch the 4k channels about 4 sec. faster and did have 3d channel 103 that you could access.

Sounds like at least your AV is messing with the 3d
