Updated - System Upgrade Sunday Canceled

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that there will probably be a service outtage of the main SatelliteGuys Website on Sunday September 2nd.

This labor day weekend I will be doing some labor to the main SatelliteGuys Site.

The reason for this outtage is because we will be upgrading our forum software to vBulletin 3.60. At this time we will also introduce our new improved look as well as some new features including full daily HDTV Listings from HDTVMagazine.COM!

I am quite proud of our new look which is unlike any other forum you have ever seen before, much less congested and even easier to use! We know some dn't like change, but we have tested this new look and also gotten feedback from our supporting members on it and after a few of their suggestions have been given a thumbs up.

In addition we will be introducing our new SatelliteGuys Logo which was made for us by SatelliteGuys member FoxBat! (We actually hired a professional to make us a logo and then out of nowhere comes Foxbat with this AMAZING logo!)

It is unknown how long this outtage will last for, there is a lot of stuff that needs to be hand edited between our beta sites and live sites.

We expect to begin working on this upgrade at approxamately 8am Eastern Time on Sunday.

Just FYI, it is 9PM EST and I am doing some work which will last for approxamately 15 minutes.

During this time the system may seem a little slower, but fear not there is nothing wrong.

Due to an unforseen family matter the upgrade scheduled for this Sunday has been postponed. In addition we have found in our testing one of the popular components we have installed and that our members love is not functioning correctly, because of this we are going to hold off on our upgrade until this issue is fixed.

However on Thursday September 7th we will make a few of our changes to celebrate our third birthday, and we WILL be launching a bunch of new features that day as well!
