Update question

I have a hopper with sling and plain hopper that have not got the new update. When will the new update download?

There is no way to determine when one particular receiver gets an update, you get it when you get it. When I had two 622's, sometimes the updates were several weeks apart. And sometimes one would get the update before the other while at other times, the second one would receive it before the first. Also, since one has features the other doesn't, it could be possible the update may only go to one and not both.

Updates are spooled out nightly to a set number of receivers, never all at once.

So if something goes wrong, only a limited number of calls come in, and their entire base isn't hurt by a bad update.

There have been instances where they have halted a rollout, corrected found-in-the-field errors, and released a newer version. So it's a good policy.

Don't get hung up on the posts about a new firmware number. It could be weeks before it's done testing and pushed out to everyone. Patience is the only thing that works.
