Upcoming Contract Renewal?

  • Server Issues.

We are very aware that there have been system issues the past few days. In troubleshooting the system, it has been determined that the issue is at our provider and is hardware related. As of 12:05 PM ET our provider has moved us to a new server.

Things seem to be running better on this new server. However in trying to diagnose the issue (before finding out it was a hardware issue) we made some system changes which we need to undo. So if you find any issues or errors please let us know in the Operations Center Forum.

Thank you for your patience! Sorry for the issue!

In today’s world, I would not even be trapped in a contract, corporations write them to favor themselves, not just Dish, all of them.

What happens if you have some kind of life event after a few months, then you are stuck, paying that $20 a month.

There are just too many options out there, that does not require a contract.
Alot of people don't realize contracts only benefit the company and not them. One way is by using piss poor csrs!!!

After looking at the channel lineups they don't have rsns so we would loose the dodgers as that's an rsn. Not to mention long channel disputes. The only reason I can think of switching over is for the h3 16 tuners. Other than that's it's just not worth it.

That is what YTTV has been doing, worked for them, since they are over 8 Million subscribers, this year, passed Dish with Sling subscriber numbers, became the #4 Provider, should pass DirecTV by the end of 2025, become #3.

I know Charter does not require a contract for Broadband, but Comcast definitely does for new subscribers.

Dish does for new, but after that, you are not under one, unless you receive a new discounted deal.
Who in there right mind would have there balls chained down for another 2 years just for a discount 🤔 just crazy... direct gives out discounts with no contract. Just shows they appreciate me being a customer rather than forcing me to be

Not to be rude, but it sounds like DTV knows they are offering a somewhat inferior product. The Hopper can’t be beat. Please don’t try to argue the point.

That said, I am out of my Dish contract and this may be my last year with them. Maybe I should stop reading posts from Bruce. ;)
