Univison not viacom?

With the news of univision in hd could it be that the delay of viacom lighting up is that univision got the jump on them. Maybe Charlie sees a better deal for himself.

I think you mean Telemundo. Besides--Univision and Telemundo are both broadcast networks (HD or not HD Locals).

Or maybe it was part of the contract negotiation dispute.
Besides, those channels cover more interested viewers than the Viacom channels.
You can't please everyone, but you better please the majority.
