I have a 301.010 that I would like to modify to use a uhf remote control.
I have a uhf control unit from a 4700 rec. and a dish uhf remote. Has anyone had any luck trying this modification or have any info about how to do it if it can even be done ?
thx.

You can buy a UHF kit from DISH for $49 for the 301.

How about making those receivers use a DishPro UHF remote so that you can change channels from up to 200 feet away instead of up to 100 feet away? I wonder how someone could modify a UHF upgrade kit to do this? Use the parts out of a broken receiver that uses DishPro UHF? I think Dish should have a DishPro upgrade kit available as well for those that need better range.

You could try using a rooftop amplified UHF OTA antenna. :D

After all, it seems that with most of E*'s OTA tuners, that'd be a better use for it.

do I need a super dish to get international channel?
