My DISH 1000+ dish is almost 10 years old and is faded and has had lots of bird droppings on it from the past. It looks ugly to me. Will DISH replace it or am I bird drop out of luck and have to purchase a new one?

It's possible you could get an antenna upgrade with the renewal of a contract. I think they use to have a promotion for that.

Most outdoor equipment becomes your property and you are responsible for maintaining it. Try sweet talking a DIRT rep. maybe he can start a new expense for DISH.

I remember years ago upgrading a woman's dish antenna just because she wanted the newer, darker colored dish and she thought her's was too old and not compatible. She was not going to pay for it either because she felt it was wrong getting old stock. I managed to do an antenna upgrade promotion so she got it for free and I got paid by Dish to do it. It use to exist to it's worth asking for now.

Keep us updated, hopefully you get those nice looking Dish with the red and black text, they really look nice.
Yep, will do. Maybe later on after I upgrade to a Hopper 3 system I will try for a new dish. Black with a DISH red kangaroo would look nice. My dish is mounted on the wall in the back yard. It is close to the patio deck and also have pool parties. Want my dish to look nice.

Wonder if the Dish beta testers are free to talk about their experiences with the DPH42 now that it's available? Good luck with it, interested in hearing how it goes.
