From two different receivers I get two different signal strength readings from the same dish. From my H20, I get about a 75 in the first bird. On my DVR I get 95-97 on the same sat. This is a pretty new house and I ran the RG-6 cable myself being sure that they were all straight runs from the outside to the wall. The cable also never crosses power lines in the house. Does the H20 just pump out power?

Also, on a related note, it looks like I’m only getting signal from a couple of the satellites, but not all of them. Does anyone have a resource that says which transponders/birds I should be seeing (with HD Locals)?

very possible. I know with Dish Network some boxes would read a max of 105 and some would be 125.

I have a 811 and a 5000 and the 811 reads most transponders at 100-105 whereas the 5000 maxes at 85

The H-20 signal readings are about 20-25% lower than other receivers, it is normal. As far as local HD channels, your local HD channels will be on the 99 or 103 bird.
