TV input button on Remote?

Is there anyway to get the input button to work with my T.V.? I have a Sharp flat screen and the remote controls the volume and such. I also set it up for AV1, and the menu button works, but not the T.V. input button. I can't navigate the menu though, as the up and down arrows seem to just change the channel, which brings it to the cable input.

with the remote in receiver mode hold the select and mute button down until the green light flashes then punch in 960 the green light should flash twice push the tv input button.

Also, which recvr are you referring to ?

Thats important because the older recvrs had more complicated process to programming, the newer H/HR24's pretty much program themselves once you point it in the right direction.

Not sure what the HR34's do as I don't have one.

Typically, there are more than 1 code that will work for your set .... the first one you find may turn it on and off and volume, but not other things, try a different code !
