Are you kidding? Charlie feeds off of lawsuits like that energy creature on Star Trek that fed off of anger. They make him stronger. So, how 'bout it? Anyone know how to get a class-action lawsuit started?

Just another clueless CSR, although at least I now know BET should show up.
I have TurboHD Silver

Todd Fisher: f*****************************
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: thank you.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: I am checking the TURBO SILVER package for you. Fox News should be appearing in HD.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Fox news is not part of the Turbo Silver programming package. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Todd Fisher: What about the other viacom channels? MTV, Vh1, BET, ect.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: I am checking those for you as we chat.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: MTV HD does not appear to be included in the TURBO package at this time as well.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: BET HD, channel 124 is part of the Turbo Silver package.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Spike HD channel 168 should be available in the Turbo Silver package.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: VH1 HD is not part of the Turbo Silver package at this time.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: I apologize for your inconvenience.
Todd Fisher: hum, I do not see BET on my channel guide as available, it is in red
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: One moment and let me double check that again for you.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Channel 124 is BET, it is appearing in red in your program guide?
Todd Fisher: Actually 124 HD doesn't appear, just the 9510 channel and it is red
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: I have just sent a signal to renew the authorization to your subscription. Wait for a couple of minutes and see if channel 124 begins appearing or if it changes color in the program guide.
Todd Fisher: Is there an e-mail address I can write to complain about the HD channel additions, I am paying 7 dollars more a month for 4 channels(with bet) and bronze folks are only paying 5 for the same number of channels. That doesn't seem right.
Todd Fisher: I appreciate all your helpful information
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: You can email feedback@customermail.dishnetwork.com with any questions.
Todd Fisher: I appreciate that
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: You are welcome.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Does the program guide still show channel 124 in red?
Todd Fisher: 124 is green but no hd logo, 9510 is still red with the hd logo
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: BET HD should be on channel 9511.
Todd Fisher: I entered that channel number into my remote and nothing happened, BET HD shows up on 9510
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: All right, Please perform a front panel reset. That is done by opening the panel on the right front and holding the power button for 10 seconds and releasing it.
Todd Fisher: it is resetting
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: After that, let's see what is appearing. We may need to force the receiver to download a new copy of the program guide information.
Todd Fisher: should channels in the Classic Silver 200, that have an HD equivellent appear on my TurboHD Silver approved channel list?
Todd Fisher: It is now acquiring satellite signal
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: All right.
Todd Fisher: It is back on
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: All right, check the program guide for BET and see if it is still in red.
Todd Fisher: BET 124 is green, No HD 124
Todd Fisher: 9510 BET HD is in red
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: All right, enter 9999 and then the right arrow button until you get ATTN 330.
Todd Fisher: I tried that and it took me to channel 9901
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: All right, exit the program guide and press Menu, 6, 1, 1
Todd Fisher: done
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: On the point dish screen, highlight Check Switch and press select.
Todd Fisher: test?
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Yes,
Todd Fisher: alright it is currently performing a check switch test
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: All right, when it finishes it will return to the installation summary screen. Once there. press "View Live TV" on the right side of the remote control. You will begin Attn 015 again and then Attn 330.
Todd Fisher: I see attn 015
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: All right.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: After 5 of 5 it should go to Attn 330.
Todd Fisher: it is now attn 330
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: All right, that will take up to 5 minutes.
Todd Fisher: it is done, BET HD 9510 is RED and BET 124 is Green
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Thank you, I will need to confer with the Technical operations department, one moment please.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Once again I apologize for this. These channels were only released overnight. There may still be some problems with the authorization of the programming.
Todd Fisher: I understand
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: I am submitting a technical problem report to our technical operations team to check this out.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Yes sir. If the problem is with programming itself we should have that resolved within the next couple of hours.
Todd Fisher: I appreciate that, you've been very helpful
Todd Fisher: should channels in the Classic Silver 200, that have an HD equivellent appear on my TurboHD Silver approved channel list?
Todd Fisher: I just want to attempt to figure out what I might get in the future
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: In most cases it should, however there are some channels like the ones that I mentioned earlier that at this time are not in the Turbo HD packages but are in the corresponding Bronze, Silver, and Gold with HD programming.
Todd Fisher: Is there a specific reason for this
Todd Fisher: that doesn't seem logical
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: I agree. for example, Fox news is available in the Classic Silver 200 with Silver HD package but not available in the Turbo Silver HD package.
Todd Fisher: exactly
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: That again is an opportunity for you to contact us via the feedback@customermail.dishnetwork.com email address and indicate the programming difference and to ask why it is that way.
Todd Fisher: I see, well I appreciate all the help you've given today
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: You are very welcome.
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Hopefully the BET channel will be available later. If it is not please chat or call again.
Todd Fisher: Will do
(24DrDcb) Ken R. SES: Have I answered everything to your satisfaction?
Todd Fisher: yes
That is already happening.I am so pissed. The reason I switched from D* to E* was because of the TurboHD packages, and I was told that any new HD channels added would be part of the TurboHD packages. Couple that with Charlie claim that the large price increases to TurboHD would be worth it, and you have a lot of deceit being propogated by Dish Network! If this keeps up, I see TurboHD customers leaving them in droves!!!
I know the package is no longer offered, but I just can't seem to find anywhere where E* said that it was no longer supported. I think (and of course I may be wrong) that it is just an assumption that ABSOLUTE is no longer supported ie., having more channels added. It sounds like something a CSR said. I was assured when I signed up for ABSOLUTE that I would receive all hd added, excluding premiums. Of course that was a CSR that I got that information from as well. What I don't understand on here is why people get so mad at ABSOLUTE subs. Is it just "sour grapes?" If someone gets a better deal than me because I missed an opportunity, I do not fault them for that. I would simply say, "That is a great deal and I wish I had gotten that when I had the chance." For turbo, I would be mad too if my rate was hiked and I was not given new channels. To get mad at ABSOLUTE subs seems unwarranted. It would seem to me that the Absolute package was a deal offered for a short time and when that was over it became TurboHD Gold w/platinum. To me, turbo gold and ABSOLUTE should remain the same. Just my opinion. . . . .Other than Dish has officially stated that the package is no longer offered and as of the first of 2009 no longer supported.
So, how 'bout it? Anyone know how to get a class-action lawsuit started?

i spoke to an american in the loyalty department this afternoon and she was not very informative .she told me that the 3 channels that did not get added to the turbo packages because of contract stipulations(which i find is crazy). why wouldn't Viacom want there channels to be seen by everyone.i am just guessing that the three that didn't get added to the turbo packs are the 3 most popular and E* was just afraid that if they went to the turbo packs that A LOT of subs would drop there classic packages. I am now weighing my options as to what to do,she was throwing the kitchen sink of offers at me once i told her i was seriusly thinking of leaving. but i just need to wait it out a little and really look into my options.
Yes, but everything you got, Bronze also got; ie, Comedy Central, CMT, and Spike. These seemingly randomly chosen channels could have been yours for less money...Ok, glad E* tells me! (not)
As a turbo Silver guy, did I get any new channels? And what the hell is PLANET GREEN?
Then why give us three random channels?Anyone consider maybe Viacom said "no MTV or vh1 or nick if u don't also give the hd only person mtv2 and tv land and another channels we own but only do in sd"?
It may not be Dish's fault if viacom demanded that.... Which is what I bet happened with fox news also.
Sort of like a concession; "here, take these three channels and don't tell your friends that Turbo HD sucks..."
